What’s happened to American’s foundational spirit of self-reliance and independence? Americans never wanted something for nothing. We take great pride in making it on our own. Americans used to say, “I don’t accept handouts.” Today, many Americans say, “Where is my handout?” Have you taken a bite from the government entitlement apple yet?

I hate shopping. I’m one of those guys who drops his wife off as she shops and I impatiently wait in my car. I strategically maneuver around the parking lot looking for that perfect spot to watch the exit in the hope that she will someday reappear.

While I wait for my wife’s glorious exit, I can’t help but observe countless people who park in all those handicap spaces. Very seldom do I see anyone I would consider handicapped. I see people who bounce out of their cars and walk effortlessly into each store. Continue reading →
